To Associate Linkages
- Place a fence around a whole or part of a design file that contains shapes and centroids.
-
From the Topology Creation toolbox, select the Associate Linkages tool.
The Associate Linkages tool settings window opens.
-
From the Associate Linkages tool settings window’s Mode option menu, set one of the following options:
Centroid —> Shape — copies the database linkages from centroid elements to shape elements.
Centroid —>Boundary — copies the database linkages from centroid elements to boundaries.
Shape —>Centroid — copies the database linkages from shapes to centroids.
Boundary —>Centroid — copies the database linkages from a boundary to its centroid.
After creating a shape, select Centroid —>Shape to associate the area’s database linkage to the shape.
-
Enter a data point to accept the fence.
Shortly, the linkages are associated. A results window opens to show the number of associations made.
